Golf Lounge focuses on sustainable water management. Through proactive measures in summer, we prepare for winter challenges while preserving the natural beauty of the Moorfleet landscape.
Basic principle
The approach is unspectacular: rainwater is collected on site and reused for irrigation, sprinklers run preferably at off-peak times and only where actually needed. Greens are watered specifically, based on measurements, not on a fixed schedule. Edge areas are deliberately kept more extensively and thereby contribute to biodiversity, rather than being treated as irrigated ornamental lawn.
A compact short course requires less irrigated area per played hole than a classic 18-hole layout.
