    Golf Licence FAQ

    The current course fee is shown directly on this page. It includes all training sessions with a PGA coach, theory, rental clubs and balls, plus the exam itself. There are no hidden extras.

    An exam session takes place every Saturday. Once your training sessions are complete, you flexibly choose the Saturday that suits you and take the exam.

    The golf licence course covers around 4-5 training sessions of 2 hours each, in small groups of up to 6 participants, so every person receives individual feedback from the PGA coach. Theory and practice are interlocked.

    Yes. Training sessions are offered several times a week – you align your personal schedule with the coaching team and progress step by step towards the exam.

    After passing, you receive 3 complimentary 6-hole rounds on our short course to apply what you learned directly on the course – a smooth transition from lesson to independent round.

    The first step is the golf licence (Platzreife) – the DGV-standard qualification that allows you to play golf courses in Germany and internationally. Your official handicap can then be managed via the DGV – for example with our Friend DGV membership including the official DGV card.

    The Golf Lounge offers Germany's most flexible Platzreife course in Hamburg – your path towards an official handicap in Hamburg (license to play golf courses). On multiple dates per week, you practice long and short game in small groups with consistent training units. Balls and clubs are provided for each session.

    Take the DGV golf licence at Golf Lounge Moorfleet as a flexibly booked course: theory and practice combine on your schedule, so the course fits professionals with irregular weeks as well as students and families. Theory covers rules, etiquette and safety on the course; practice takes place on the year-round covered TrackMan driving range and the 6-hole short course, led by PGA coaches – the classical way to learn golf in Hamburg with a recognised qualification.

    After passing the licence you can play in Hamburg directly on the 9-hole course at Golf Lounge as well as on external courses – the exam itself is taken entirely on the Moorfleet site, no trip to an external venue is required. If you prefer to cover the theory part comfortably from home, take the online golf licence; the practical part and the exam take place in Moorfleet there too. If you want to try the sport informally first, start with the taster course and move on to the licence once you feel ready. For families, returning players and anyone who needs calm for their first rounds before the exam, the 6-hole short course is a good training venue.
