After passing the licence you can play in Hamburg directly on the 9-hole course at Golf Lounge as well as on external courses – the exam itself is taken entirely on the Moorfleet site, no trip to an external venue is required. If you want to try the sport informally first, start with the taster course and move on to the licence once you feel ready. What does the golf licence course cost?
The current course fee is shown directly on this page. It includes all training sessions with a PGA coach, theory, rental clubs and balls, plus the exam itself. There are no hidden extras.
When does the exam take place?
An exam session takes place every Saturday. Once your training sessions are complete, you flexibly choose the Saturday that suits you and take the exam.
How is the course structured?
The golf licence course covers around 4-5 training sessions of 2 hours each, in small groups of up to 6 participants, so every person receives individual feedback from the PGA coach. Theory and practice are interlocked.
Can I choose dates flexibly?
Yes. Training sessions are offered several times a week – you align your personal schedule with the coaching team and progress step by step towards the exam.
What happens after passing the exam?
After passing, you receive 3 complimentary 6-hole rounds on our short course to apply what you learned directly on the course – a smooth transition from lesson to independent round.
How do I get an official golf handicap in Hamburg?
The first step is the golf licence (Platzreife) – the DGV-standard qualification that allows you to play golf courses in Germany and internationally. Your official handicap can then be managed via the DGV – for example with our Friend DGV membership including the official DGV card.
