OHS Visits Moorfleet

Student exchange with Bosnia: 40 young people experience golf at our facility in Hamburg-Moorfleet.

As part of a student exchange program, around 20 students from Bosnia visited our golf facility in Hamburg-Moorfleet together with about 20 students from Otto-Hahn-Schule (OHS). The day was all about shared experiences and a first encounter with the sport of golf – a completely new territory for many of the participants.

After a warm welcome, all participants were equipped with golf clubs and headed straight to the driving range. Whether putting, chipping or full swings – the young people tried their hand at all disciplines. The focus was on fun and friendly little competitions. The excitement was palpable when the first balls flew far across the green.

After training on the range, the group warmed up with hot drinks in the clubhouse. A shared meal rounded off the special day and provided an opportunity for exchange between the German and Bosnian young people. Such encounters impressively demonstrate how sport connects and builds bridges.

The OHS visit is part of our commitment to youth development in golf. We regularly open our doors to schools, clubs and youth groups to make the sport accessible to a wide audience. Golf is no longer just a sport for adults – with us, young people can find their entry point and experience the fascination of the sport for themselves.
