With a birdie on the second-to-last hole of the second round, Flory made the cut at the Fidelity ADT Ladies Challenge at Blue Valley Golf Estate.
"That was close but also deserved"
the Golf Lounge Resort ambassador was relieved after shooting 70 with a total of five birdies on day two.
The start was a bit bumpy with 75 strokes, but with a total of +1 the cut was made and the first tee time (6:40 AM!) for the final round was booked.
Perhaps too much "Early Bird", as with four bogeys and three birdies, Flory only managed a 73 on International Women's Day.
"It should have been under par, but at least I made up a few places. The last week of training in Johannesburg did me good and stabilized my game," the Hamburg native summed up before rushing to the airport to travel on to Cape Town.
There, from March 13-15 at Royal Cape GC, Flory will compete in the third and final tournament of the Sunshine Tour. At the Cape Town Ladies Open, three rounds are played for a prize purse of 30,000 euros.
The winner of the Fidelity ADT Ladies Challenge was German Helen Kreutzer (Frankfurt) with a total of 204 strokes (70, 68, 66).
