TrackMan is a radar measurement device that has become standard among professional players and internationally renowned coaches. With TrackMan, players can not only measure their club distances but also analyze their swing in the smallest detail.
The TrackMan Range app captures measurements like carry and total meters, launch angle, ball speed and height. With market-leading radar technology, you can train on all two levels at the Golf Lounge.
Via the WiFi network, you can easily and quickly connect on all two levels and start your training immediately. The app provides players and groups with direct results and measurements in real-time analysis.

Golf training in Hamburg-Moorfleet – TrackMan on two levels
At the Golf Lounge driving range in Hamburg-Moorfleet, traditional hitting practice meets TrackMan technology. The covered bays allow year-round training in any weather. TrackMan Range is available on two levels. The range is therefore a place for repeated shots and immediate feedback on ball flight: you hit outdoors from the mat and can connect your practice results with the measurements in the app. The roof is part of the training environment; it does not turn the range into an indoor simulator.
TrackMan Range: ball-flight data rather than guesswork
TrackMan uses radar technology. The range app shows measurements including carry and total distance, launch angle, ball speed and height. Carry generally means flight distance before first ground contact. TrackMan measures it to the point where the ball returns to its launch height; total distance also includes its roll. You can therefore look at different shots and clubs using the same measurements rather than simply estimating where a ball landed. Direct feedback is part of training in the hitting bays and is intended for individual players as well as groups.
Carry and total answer different questions. Flight distance is especially important when a ball needs to clear water or a bunker. Total distance, by contrast, indicates where it could come to rest including its roll. How much a ball rolls depends on factors including its landing angle and the ground. If you want to learn your club distances, you should therefore not look only at your longest successful shot. The golf glossary entry on carry recommends excluding clear mishits and working with the average of the remaining shots.
The TrackMan Range app provides results in real time on your smartphone. You can connect through the facility’s Wi-Fi on both levels. If you practise alone, you use the measurements for your own training. If you come with friends, interactive games and competitions offer another way to enjoy the range. Training and gaming sit alongside one another: you can work on your game or play together without needing to complete a round on the golf course.
Alongside the current results, training data can be saved in the player profile. This complements immediate feedback after a shot with the option to keep a record of your measurements. Whether you want to compare club distances or try a friendly competition with friends, the same hitting bays accommodate both kinds of range visit.
For beginners, returning players and experienced golfers
The range caters for different playing levels, from beginner to professional. A taster course with a PGA coach offers a first introduction to golf; those working towards the DGV Platzreife combine theory with practice on the range and short course in the golf licence course. Experienced players can practise individual shots or choose a coaching session to work on specific aspects of their game. A driving range does not replace playing on the course, however: routines such as the order of play and the pace of a round are also learnt on the course itself.
Book a hitting bay and combine golf options on site
Reserve your practice time through the existing hitting-bay booking page. There you choose the date for your range visit. If you want to play on a course afterwards, the same site has the 9-hole course and the 6-hole short course. The 9-hole course requires the DGV Platzreife, while the short course can also be used without it. TrackMan simulators provide an indoor alternative.
