"A Chance for Everyone" – under this title, an initiative around Olympics and Paralympics took shape in Hamburg in spring 2026, and we took part. The goal was to discuss the bid not just as an administrative and infrastructure project, but as a question of participation: who gets access to sport, where does it take place, what does a genuinely everyday sports offer look like in a big city?

Golf Lounge was one of the venues where programme took place as part of the initiative. That fits us thematically: a covered, weather-independent site in the middle of Hamburg-Moorfleet is close to what "sport for all" usually means – low threshold, clear structure, short distances. The short course and the range can easily be used by people who have never held a club before.

We captured a few impressions from those days in photos included with this piece. What happens with a bid in the end is decided by others. What we as a facility can contribute is a place where sport is not reduced to performance.
