The cooperation with Großflottbeker THGC brings together two sports that at first glance have little in common: field hockey at the highest national level and year-round golf training in a covered range environment. For the Bundesliga team, Golf Lounge in Moorfleet is above all an alternative training environment – coordination, gaze control and the ability to call up precise movements under observation work in a golf swing much like in a push or slap. Conversely, we benefit from the hockey pros' view on technique and athleticism: many of the principles that are second nature in field hockey – clean shoulder rotation, stable stance, controlled follow-through – transfer directly to work on the golf swing. For our guests the cooperation means occasional joint dates, open training sessions and impulses from a neighbouring sport. Details on individual formats are announced on golflounge.de.
